This is the highest weight a female athlete has lifted in the history of the Commonwealth Games. At the same time, Mirabai equaled his personal record.
Meera has lifted 88 kg nationally. Chanu's personal best in the 49 kg category is a total of 203 kg (push: 88 kg, push: 115 kg) which she won at the national championship in February 2020.

However, Mirabai's third attempt failed. On the third attempt, Mira thought of lifting 90 kg, but lost her balance and failed. At the Tokyo Olympics, Mira tried to lift 89 kg in her third attempt, but also failed. Even though Meera failed to lift 90 kg, she took the lead. She maintained a 12 kg lead over the second weightlifter.

Mirabai Chanu lifted 109 kg in the first push round. With that she also won a gold medal because no one was close to him. But even after that he made a second attempt and lifted a weight of 113 kg. On the third attempt, Mirabai tried to lift a weight of 115 kg but failed. Its weight of 115 kg is the best in thrust.

Mirabai last year gave the country an Olympic weightlifting medal after 21 years. At the Tokyo Olympics, Mira lifted a total of 202 kg in the 49 kg category and won a silver medal. Before her, Karnam Maleswari won a bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Mirabai won medals at three consecutive Commonwealth Games. Meera won a silver medal at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and a gold medal at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

She failed at the 2016 Olympics in Rio
Mirabai have not looked back since losing a medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and continuing their winning streak. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Mirabai failed to lift weights properly in every attempt. Every attempt is disqualified. When Mira couldn't lift weights in 2016, her name was written: "Not done yet."

That "unfinished" tag destroys Meera's morale. Because of the defeat, Mira fell into depression. Not only that, Meera had to ask the doctor for help to get out of her. She also decided to say goodbye to weightlifting. However, the desire to prove herself does not allow Mira to do that. Since then, Meera has become the country's new icon.

Meera won a gold medal at the 2017 World Weightlifting Championships, becoming the first Indian athlete to do so. She even left his biological sister's wedding to prepare for the event. After winning a medal at the World Weightlifting Championships, Meera starts crying. She already remembers the 2016 loss. Meera went on to win gold at the last Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. This makes her the best female athlete in the country.
